What it was
The file browser is where every Figma session starts: the home for teams, projects and files, and the first thing a new user sees. I led a total revamp of the experience in 2025.
What I did
Better banner logic, so announcements and prompts appear when they are useful and stay out of the way otherwise. A simpler UI with less chrome. An improved file create flow, with Design, FigJam and Slides a click away. Denser information, so more files and projects fit in view. And a tidied sidebar, with a clearer structure for teams and projects.
